C’EST UN CEST is a project born from the friendship and collaboration between Margherita and Sophie, neighbors in the Porta Venezia district. A simple bond, sparked by their dogs, that grew around a shared passion: weaving.

The project brings together two complementary paths. Margherita works in the textile field, with a focus on rugs, moving between an essential, material-driven research rooted in artisanal craftsmanship and a more ironic, graphic approach that emerges in her personal projects. Sophie, trained in Fine Arts and with a background in jewelry design, is passionate about weaving and wickerwork and enjoys caring for her chickens—elements that enrich her lively and playful creative imagery. From this fusion, C’EST UN CEST takes shape: a project where design and craftsmanship meet through an essential and ironic creative language. Weaving becomes a shared vocabulary, giving life to contemporary creations in which design, craftsmanship, and irony coexist in perfect balance.
